This Week’s Top Pours
CasAzar Tequila Añejo
A few weeks back, we highlighted CasAzar Reposado as a shockingly delicious tequila packaged inside a — shall we say — rather gimmicky bottle. CasAzar Añejo blows it out of the water. This nearly $300 decanter is a splurge, no doubt, brimming with bittersweet flavors of mesquite smoke, dark chocolate, leather and raw almond that maybe, just maybe, justify its wild price tag.

This Week’s Spotlight
One Brand is Betting Everything on Sotol, the Next Big Trend in Mexican Spirits
Between 1944 and 1994, sotol was the target of strict prohibition throughout Mexico. Little over three decades after the spirit gained official recognition, Hacienda de Chihuahua is introducing it to the world stage.

Cocktail of the Week
Blood Orange Sour
Blood orange feels like one of those ingredients that's caught on everywhere over the past few years. Whether enjoyed inside a cocktail or thoroughly non-alcoholic beverage (any San Pellegrino fans in the audience?), the darkly sweet, almost berry-like flavor is a fan favorite for good reason.
For all those reasons and more, we insist on pairing it with a high-quality mezcal. Bozal's twist on the concept comes together in a snap, elevated by a splash of Tepeztate chock-full of intensely herbal and peppery notes.
Ingredients
2 oz Bozal Tepeztate Mezcal
1 oz Blood Orange Juice
.5 oz Lemon Juice
.75 oz Agave Syrup
1 Medium White Egg
Directions
1. Combine all ingredients in shaker tin with ice. Shake for 7-10 seconds and strain into a coup glass. Garnish with a blood orange wheel.
Cultural Corner: Los Mariachis
Third-generation Velázquez family musicians, Los Mariachis, blend vibrant tradition with global style in every performance. From beloved rancheras to bilingual favorites, their high‑energy shows add cultural richness to any event.
Catch Los Mariachis live at Arte Agave Atlanta on September 26th for an unforgettable evening of music, culture, and celebration. Get your tickets today!
The great city of Washington, DC will be Arte Agave's first stop during the packed September season. We've already got a fantastic slate of tequila and mezcal brands lined up, as well as a handful of food vendors we're particularly excited about.
7 Moltin is coming through to serve its black bean tamales with jarocha sauce, a smoky, tomato-based regional specialty that tastes just as delicious as it sounds.
On the Fly Tapsters is going all out, offering up coconut shrimp with tequila lime lime drizzle, beef tostada bites and a signature "Smoke in the Tropics" cocktail that combines caramelized pineapple, mezcal, tequila and housemade habanero agave syrup. Taco Bamba will also be cheffing up food and drinks, complete with crispy tostadas and refreshing agua frescas made with real fruit.
Find fire-roasted Mexican street corn and signature tacos at Taqueria Habanero, or stop by Tequila & Taco for portable empanadas (our personal favorite is easily the Elote). If that sounds like your jam, it's still not too late to pick up tickets!
